The New York ladies artworks are inspired by the photographic work of Ari Seth Cohen, creator of ‘Advanced Style’ . Sara loved the character, colour and style of his subjects and felt that she wanted to interpret them. Painting in acrylics and making use of bold colours she uses a loose, ‘sculptural’ painting style, conveying the energy and personality of the subjects.

PORTRAITS - THE POPE
Sara Pope had the privilege of having her portrait of Pope Francis accepted into the Vatican collection in 2014. Using a mix of oil paint, acrylic and gold leaf, Sara’s painting is a very modern interpretation.

Early in 2016 Sara was approached by music label PIAS , and commissioned to create an artwork of the band Lucius’s co-founders Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig. Inspired by their identical style, Sara decided to merge the pair together to form one harmonious image.
